I qualified as a social worker in 2003 and worked for the Local Authority working with adults with physical disabilities and older people. Before I left to join Head First I was Assistant Team Manager of a Hospital Social Work team.
I joined Head First in 2013 wanting to step back from management roles and return to using my social work skills in working with vulnerable people, their families and support workers. Using my social work skills I am able to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families. In my role as Case Manager I am responsible for coordinating and reviewing clients’ rehabilitation programmes, managing multi-disciplinary teams, recruiting, training and supervising support workers and supporting clients to lead a full and meaningful life. My case management experience includes working with children and adults.
