Career History
I qualified as a Social Worker in Canada in 2017. While in Canada I had the opportunity to work in many charitable organizations focused on specific trauma work including experiences of homelessness, domestic violence, and sexual violence. This fostered a passion for supporting individuals with multiple complex needs in determining and reaching their goals.
Following my move to England I worked in adult social care as a Social Worker managing complex clients experiencing brain injury, homelessness, substance misuse concerns, and complexities around mental capacity.
I joined Head First as a Case Manager to further follow my passions in working with individuals with brain injury and complex trauma. I have enjoyed building trusting relationships with my clients, focused on their goals and desires for their future.
Current Work
My current role as Case Manager involves in-depth case management, advocacy and systems navigation for my clients. I enjoy getting to know my clients and working closely and collaboratively with them and their teams to ensure client-centred care and support. I am passionate about ensuring my clients are active participants in their own lives at all levels of capacity.
As Safeguarding Lead I am responsibe for supporting colleagues and providing advice and guidance in managing active safeguarding concerns.
