I qualified as a State Enrolled Nurse in 1979 and worked in a surgical clinical setting in the NHS and private sector since then. I undertook a conversion course to a Level 1 Registered Nurse and continued my development by completing a Batchelor of Science Degree in Health and Social Care.
During my career I have been promoted into management roles, which has given me experience of supervising and monitoring all staff and teams providing appropriate supervision and training when required.
I have personal experience in the support and care of a child with learning difficulties and an adult member of my family with a brain injury.
This understanding has naturally led me into Case Management as this allowed me to combine both my managerial, clinical and personal experience into one role. I enjoy supporting clients and their families in achieving their full potential.
I am a passionate person who enjoys supporting individuals attain their maximum potential and making a difference to both them and their family.
To enable this, my role includes working with the client, their families, healthcare and statutory services and recruiting specialist support workers. It is hugely rewarding to be able to maintain the individual’s health and wellbeing, so they can enjoy life.
