Career History
My Background is primarily working with adults at various stages of life with complex physical, mental health and behavioural needs. I have worked in the health and social care industry since 2004 in various roles including local authorities as well as residential and neurological hospital settings. I qualified as a Social Worker in 2016 and as a Best Interests Assessor in 2018, and I also use my skills gained as a life coach and NLP therapist to support my work in identifying achievable goals with clients. In my social work role, I have primarily supported adults with concerns regarding their mental health, substance misuse and physical needs including people with acquired brain injuries.
Current Work
I joined Head-First in order to expand the opportunities for clients to achieve their full potential following injury, by facilitating progress in every domain of the clients’ lives.
I believe that with support, teamwork and through building strong working relationships, individuals can achieve great outcomes. I am passionate about listening to my clients and making certain that they are at the centre of all my work and support.
My current role as Case Manager includes the skills that I’m most enjoy, working closely with families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for clients. In my current role, I am responsible for co-ordinating and reviewing my clients’ rehabilitation with the support of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for them and their families. This includes advocacy and enabling the client and their families to navigate through the complexities of various systems to enable support that is tailored to meet their needs and lead their lives in the best way possible.
