Members of staff at Head First have prepared lectures, seminars and workshops on rehabilitation, case management and care for professionals working in the field of brain injury - solicitors, support workers and students from training colleges.
Head First has developed a day's training course for support workers, working in the field of brain injury and courses for professionals, tailored to meet specific needs can be designed and provided as required.
EXAMPLE - TRAINING DAY FOR SUPPORT WORKERS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY
FORMAT
This training is presented to groups of 10 to 20 participants as a one day course incorporating workshops, presentations and discussions.
PURPOSEThe course is intended to provide a basic understanding of the effects of Acquired Brain Injury and to highlight ways of addressing these difficulties. It aims to introduce and promote the use of some of the specialist methods and practices needed to effectively support, rehabilitate and maintain people with Acquired Brain Injury in the community.
PRESENTERSThe presenters are specialists in the field of Acquired Brain Injury, having over 15 years professional experience between them. Both work for Head First, a Case Management company which provides support to over 70 brain injured clients, their families and support workers.
