I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1987 with Argyll and Clyde Health Board in Paisley, Scotland. I have gained extensive experience in the field of rehabilitation, both hospital and community based, over the last 21 years. My background combines experience in the clinical delivery and operational management of rehabilitation units and services, with a special interest in promotion of evidence based quality care, actively applied using the best practice standards in rehabilitation.
In 2001 I changed direction to work in the voluntary sector with Quarriers, where I designed, delivered and managed a community based brain injury service in partnership with Renfrewshire Council. In 2007 I successfully completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Brain Injury Rehabilitation from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh. I began working as a case manager for Head First in November 2008.
